If you don’t check my site more than once a month, you haven’t noticed the disgusting lack of new posts on any sort of consistent basis.  What was once a daily updated site became three times a week… became twice a week… became weekly… became sometimes, maybe.

Turns out, the “Hey, this isn’t as time consuming as everyone said it’d be!” mentality that I had towards the initial months of parenthood was WAY off – parenting is most definitely time consuming.

But at heart, I enjoy writing.  I will continue to update The Priceless Pursuit on occasion, but in the mean time, you can find my work somewhere else:  The Dugout Doctors.  I expect to contribute to this site much more frequently, so click my link incessantly.  All the time.  20 times a day.

My personal blog on the page can be found here.

I won’t copy/paste the entire articles here, because that’d keep hit counts low, don’t ya know, but my first piece is about stats sucking.  No, not the ‘traditional’ categories like wins and losses, but rather all of the new garbage that is too convoluted (and time consuming) to understand.

Go check it out.

I love weekend mornings

Brand new look, same great content!

When I started The Priceless Pursuit, I’d intended to focus almost exclusively on the box loads of junk wax in my collection, trying to squeeze a little added value of an otherwise worthless collection.  I’d even fallen in love with the bargain table at my card shop, purchasing boxes of 1991 Score, 1992 Studio and 1998 Collector’s Choice.  Yeah… the good stuff.

A funny thing happened, however, as I made one trip to the card store after another:  I once again fell in love with the hobby.  By no means would anyone classify me as a “high end” collector, but I have grown quite fond of the occasional pack of Sweet Spot or any of the other quasi-expensive packs available today.  I’m even <GASP> starting to enjoy collating sets by hand.  As my collection habits evolved, so too has The Priceless Pursuit.

There wasn’t anything wrong with the old layout, but I was starting to grow a bit weary of the genericness of it all.  I spend so much darn time working on this thing, I figured it was time to put a bit more energy in to it’s overall look, too.  Style and substance!

Everything from the old layout is still here:  twitter feeds, the blog roll, recent comments, a search bar, etc. But please, take a look around and let me know what you think!

It’s back…

Guess who’s back?
